SPIRITUAL JOURNEYS

Experience the exhilarating beauty of Red Rock country and receive the healing energy of vortexes in Sedona. Start a magical day with yoga, tai chi and meditation. Hike with me through pinyon-juniper forests beside clear fresh creeks and rivers. Explore ancient Native American sites under crackling blue skies as we breathe deeply the pure desert/mountain air.

There will be time for solitude, sharing, exploring Self and Mother Earth. We will journey with a shaman in the wilderness; engage in a poetry seminar with a teacher of writing; eat healthfully with renewed consciousness; and create ritual and ceremony in a safe, sacred space.

From Thursday to Monday, we will honor and explore the worlds within and the worlds without. What will you do with your one precious life?

YOGA CLASSES

My first opportunity to teach yoga and meditation was in the early 1970’s.
I taught yoga classes for all levels and facilitated workshops that included yoga, meditation and dance at the Aquarian University in Baltimore, MD. My teaching and studying have taken me as far as India and Nepal, and I continue to teach classes in the United States and Mexico.

I enjoy teaching yoga that is an effective blend of various styles that includes Kundalini, Kripalu and Iyengar. When and where appropriate, ritual and meditation are added to promote healing energy.

In 2009, I will begin a series of yoga, tai chi and meditation classes in Baltimore. In the spring, I will lead a Yoga Journey to New Mexico that will include yoga, meditation, tai chi, writing as a tool for healing and Native American practices of the “talking stick” and “smudge ceremony.” There will be sessions with an ayurvedic healer and a trip to the Taos Pueblo, one of the oldest pueblos in the United States. The Taosenos continue to live, create art, care for Mother Earth and thrive without electricity and running water.
